Umeh Disbursed Over Nine Million Naira To Beneficiaries Of His Scholarship Program
No fewer than 300 students of secondary and tertiary institutions from the South-eastern part of Nigeria on Friday September 15th, 2017 received over Nine Million Naira (₦9 Million) scholarship funds from ‘Victor Umeh Educational Foundation’ (VUMEF).
The 2017/2018 academic year disbursement ceremony took place at Umeh’s hometown Aguluzigbo in Anaocha LGA of Anambra State.
The event commenced with concelebrated Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Peter Valentine Uzoezie and 3 priests.
In his homily, Rev. Fr. Sixtus Aguinam commended Chief Sir Victor Umeh for his benevolent gesture to humanity. He said “notwithstanding the harsh economy, Chief Umeh still muster the strength to continue the funding of his Educational Foundation. This is great! God will bless his goodwill and family”..
The priest urged the beneficiaries to take their studies serious, while bearing in mind that the future is very challenging. He advised them to be of good character and ambassadors extraordinary to Christian life.
Chief Victor Umeh in his remarks, thank God for His sufficient grace to sustain the Foundation which had existed for the past 10 years. He reiterated his commitment to continue helping the poor and less privileged in the society, in as much as there is life in him.
In a vote of thanks, the Chiarman of the Foundation, Rev. Fr. Peter Uzoezie appreciated the efforts of Chief Umeh is bettering the lives of the less privilege in the society. He assured Ohamadike of continues prayers for God to give him abundant life and a lasting peace.
