Arsene Wenger has vowed to make Henrikh Mkhitaryan a better player at Arsenal.
He also revealed that his new signing would be used as a winger.
The player had an underwhelming spell at Manchester United and Wenger said he will ensure he does not suffer the same problems at the Emirate.
The Armenian completed a switch to the Emirates in a straight swap for Alexis Sanchez on Monday.
Wenger said, “Yes of course, you worry about how much it as affected him. But as well it’s a new chance for him.
“What you want in life is a new chance, he gets a new chance to show his quality and I’m sure he will take it.
“I might have to analyse with him how it went, and how we can help him.”
Wenger also said he would deploy Mkhitaryan as a winger with Mesut Ozil already playing as a No.10.
Mkhitaryan generally played as a No.10 in his career.
The Frenchman added, “Personally I see him first wide, but I’m thinking about as well that for him it’s a possibility to play through the middle, [as a No. 10] or even deeper.”
